Terms of service
Kosh is a personal record of your fixed deposits and a calculator for the interest they pay. It is not a bank, isn't linked to any bank, never moves money, and doesn't give financial, investment or tax advice. Its figures are estimates: your bank's advice and statements are always the final word, so check important numbers with your bank. Your data stays on your phone and in your own Google Drive, and keeping your Google account and phone secure is up to you. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions or losses based on the app.

1. Agreement and who can use Kosh
These terms are an agreement between you and EazyLife Tech Solutions ("we", "us"), the publisher of Kosh. By installing or using Kosh you accept them and our privacy policy. You must be 18 or older and able to enter into a binding contract under the law that applies to you.
2. What Kosh is and isn't
- Kosh helps you record fixed deposits you hold, calculate their interest payouts, and track what has been credited.
- Kosh is not a bank or financial institution and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any bank. Bank names appear only as labels you choose for your own entries.
- Kosh doesn't connect to your bank accounts, read your bank data, open or close deposits, or move money.
- Kosh does not give financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Nothing in the app is a recommendation to open, renew, break or move any deposit. For advice, consult a qualified professional such as a chartered accountant or a SEBI-registered adviser.
3. Calculations are estimates
Payout amounts, effective rates, maturity amounts, projections, income totals, TDS estimates, deposit-insurance flags and dates in Kosh are calculated from what you enter, using common banking conventions and limits we believe are current. They can differ from what your bank actually does because of rounding, day-count methods, broken periods, holidays, rate changes, penalties, tax rules or mistakes in the data you entered or in our app.
- Your bank's FD advice, passbook and statements are always the final and correct record.
- Check any figure you rely on, especially before tax filing or a financial decision, against your bank's documents.
- Tax limits (such as TDS thresholds and Form 15G/15H rules) and the deposit insurance cover are set by law and regulators and can change. Kosh may not reflect a change straight away.
4. Your information
You own what you enter in Kosh, and you are responsible for its accuracy. Enter only deposits that are yours or that you are authorised to manage. If you record details about another person (for example a joint holder or nominee), you are responsible for having a lawful reason to do so.
5. Sign-in and app lock
Kosh uses your Google account to sign in and to find your backups. Anyone who controls your Google account could restore your Kosh data unless you set a backup password. Keep your Google account secure (we recommend 2-Step Verification), use a screen lock on your phone, and keep Kosh's app lock on. We are not responsible for access that results from someone using your Google account, phone or screen lock.
6. Backups
- Backups are encrypted and stored in your own Google Drive. They depend on Google's services, your Drive storage space, your internet connection and Android allowing background work, so we can't guarantee that every backup succeeds or that every restore is possible.
- If you set a backup password and forget it, nobody, including us, can restore that backup.
- Deleting your account, signing out without a recent backup, removing Kosh's Drive access or deleting its hidden Drive data can permanently remove your data.
- Keep the original bank documents for every deposit; Kosh is not a substitute for them.
7. Reminders
Reminders for payouts, maturities, Form 15G/15H and backups are a convenience. Android settings, battery optimisation or a switched-off phone can delay or stop them. You remain responsible for your deadlines, renewals and tax obligations.
8. Acceptable use
Use Kosh only for lawful purposes. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent, sublicense or reverse-engineer the app, interfere with its security or its connection to Google services, or remove our notices, except where the law expressly allows it.
9. Price
Kosh is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we will show the price and terms in the app before you buy anything, and payments will go through Google Play.
10. No warranty
Kosh is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We work hard to make Kosh reliable and its calculations correct, but we don't promise it will be free of errors or bugs, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of data, interest, profits or opportunities, arising from Kosh;
- we are not liable for any loss from a financial, tax or investment decision you made using figures, projections or reminders shown in Kosh, or from a missed deadline, renewal or tax filing;
- our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Kosh in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) ₹1,000.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that can't be excluded or limited under the law, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct, or your rights as a consumer that the law doesn't allow to be waived.
12. Third-party services
Kosh relies on Google services: Google Play, Google sign-in, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore and Google Drive. Their own terms apply to their services, and we aren't responsible for their availability or changes.
13. Updates and changes
We may update Kosh and add, change or remove features. We may change these terms; we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app before they apply. Continuing to use Kosh after a change means you accept the new terms.
14. Ending use
You can stop using Kosh at any time by uninstalling it, and you can delete your account as described on Delete your Kosh account. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or the law. Sections 3, 4, 6, 10, 11, 15 and 16 continue to apply after your use ends.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a concern, please write to us first; most issues can be solved that way. We acknowledge every grievance within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days. Any dispute not resolved informally is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in India, without affecting any right you have to bring a consumer claim where you live.
16. General
- These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Kosh.
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect, and that part applies to the fullest extent the law allows.
- If we don't enforce a right straight away, we have not waived it.
- You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a successor business, which will be bound by them.
